The Artist
My Creative Journey
Cairistiona is a fine artist and wildlife painter based in Nottinghamshire, UK.
Cairistiona has been fascinated by arts and crafts since childhood. Her imagination is sparked by birds, animals and nature and its ability to connect with people. Cairistiona taught herself to paint in acrylic while also studying for a BA(Honours) in Management and later an MSc in Adult Nursing and on graduating began painting regularly.
Cairistiona is always exploring and learning. For example, she visited Chatsworth House to capture the beauty of Chatsworth's Sculpture Gallery, during the closed season, on an observational drawing workshop. During this workshop their experienced tutor provided guidance to capture the three-dimensional form and developed her skills, using sculptures by Albacini, Bartolini and Monti as inspiration.
